Future Stars is operated by Future Stars Lab Inc with a registered address at: 131 Continental Dr, Suite 305, Newark, Delaware 19713.
Information We Collect
For All Users
- Nickname: A nickname you choose for the app
- Password: Securely stored to protect your account
- Usage Data: How you interact with the app to improve your experience
- Oracle Conversations: Questions you ask and responses provided by our personalized mentor
For Users Under 13
We comply with the Children's Online Privacy Protection Act (COPPA). For children under 13, we collect:
- Parent/Guardian Email: To obtain verified parental consent
- Birth Year: To determine if parental consent is required
- Nickname: Chosen during account setup
We do NOT collect from children under 13:
- Real names (first/last name)
- Email addresses (only parent email)
- Phone numbers
- Precise location data
- Photos or videos of the child
- Social media information
For Users 13 and Over
In addition to the above, we may collect:
- Email address
- Optional profile information you choose to provide
Oracle Conversations
We store your Oracle conversations to provide personalized support and track your progress over time. Conversations arekept until you delete your account or request deletion.
Parents can:✓ Request to review all conversations at any time✓ Delete all conversations at any time✓ Delete the entire account and all associated data
Important: Please do not share your full name, home address, phone number, or other personal identifying information in conversations with Oracle. While we store conversations to provide personalized support, sharing such information is not necessary for Oracle to help you.
How We Use Your Information
We use the information we collect to:
- Provide and maintain the Future Stars experience
- Personalize content and features
- Improve our app and develop new features
- Communicate with parents about their child's account
- Comply with legal obligations
- Protect the safety and security of our users
We do NOT:
- Sell or rent personal information to third parties
- Use children's information for targeted advertising
- Share information with third parties for their marketing purposes
- Require children to provide more information than necessary to use the app
Children's Privacy (COPPA and EU'S GDPR Compliance)
Parental Consent
Before a child under 13 can create an account, we require verified parental consent:
- The child enters their birth year during onboarding
- If under 13, we ask for a parent/guardian email address
- We send a verification code to the parent's email
- The parent enters the code to verify their identity
- The parent completes the account setup for their child
Parental Rights
Parents of children under 13 have the right to:✓ Review what information we've collected about their child✓ Review Oracle conversations✓ Delete their child's account and all associated data✓ Revoke consent and prevent further data collection✓ Refuse to allow further collection of their child's information✓ You may withdraw your consent at any timeby: Emailing privacy@futurestars.com
How to Exercise Your Parental Rights
To review, modify, or delete your child's information:
- Email us at: privacy@futurestars.com
- Include your child's username and your relationship to the child
- We will verify your identity and respond within 72 working hours
What happens when you request deletion:
- We delete all personal information about your child within 30 days
- This includes username, activity data, Oracle conversations, and any user-generated content
- Some anonymized data may be retained for legal or operational purposes
- You will receive email confirmation when deletion is complete
Data Security
We take the security of your information seriously. We implement appropriate technical and organizational measures to protect your data, including:
- Encryption of data in transit and at rest
- Secure password storage using industry-standard hashing
- Regular security assessments
- Limited access to personal information
- Secure data centers with Google Cloud Platform in the EU
Third-Party Services
Future Stars uses the following third-party services:
Firebase (Google)
- Purpose: Authentication, database, cloud functions, and analytics
- Data shared: User authentication data, app usage data, analytics data

Open AI (Chat GPT)
- Purpose: Powering the Oracle personalized motivator feature
- Data shared: Your conversations with The Oracle, Nickname, Progress

- Note: Open AI does not use API data to train their AI models
SendGrid
- Purpose: Sending verification emails to parents
- Data shared: Parent email addresses

We use Firebase Analytics to improve app performance and user experience. We do not use third-party advertising services that track children under 13.
Data Retention
We retain your information for as long as your account is active or as needed to provide services:
- Active accounts: Data retained while account exists
- Oracle conversations: Automatically deleted after 90 days
- Deleted accounts: Personal data deleted within 30 days of request
- Legal compliance: Some anonymized data may be retained as required by law
- Inactive accounts: Accounts inactive for 1 year may be automatically deleted
International Users
Future Stars data is stored on Google Cloud servers located in the European Union. If you access our app from outside the EU, please be aware that your information may be transferred to, stored, and processed in the EU where our servers are located.
By using Future Stars, you consent to the transfer of your information to the EU.
We ensure all international transfers comply with GDPR requirements through approved transfer mechanisms.
Changes to This Privacy Policy
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. When we make changes:
- We will update the "Last Updated" date at the top
- For material changes, we will notify users via email or in-app notification
- For changes affecting children's privacy, we will obtain new parental consent if required by law
